Posted by admin on January 28th, 2012

Hello America, Hello World, We are The JoKeRS, andnows time for action, the JoKeRS are here to tell you about Operation Blackout being done by Anonymous collective. The JoKeRS fully support this and for those that do not know, Febuary 3rd 2012 is the specified date of the comencment of Operation Blackout. Anonymous and the occupy protesters are working together now as well. But now The JoKeRS explain why we are The JoKeRS and why that is our name. The Joker was a character from the famous batman series as you all may know. The Joker stood against society, although his actions were unjustifiable. some looked at the Joker as a hero. The JoKeRS see the joker as a perfect symbol of what society is doing to get their rights. The JoKeRS much like anonymous are a collective who has no leader, and is for the people, and stands against the corruption in society. The much needed reform of government must and will happen. Operation Freedom is commencing as well as Anonymous’s operation blackout. Operation Freedom is a boycott. On Febuary 5th and 6th The JoKeRS ask that you not use any government sites or watch any news to do with congress. We are The JoKeRS, We stand for The people, We stand for the Peoples rights, our rights, and to the parts of government who would take our rights away: Why So Serious?

Ron Paul – End the Police State

Posted by admin on January 27th, 2012

Ron Paul fights for the freedom of every American at a time in our history when our liberty is under terrible threat from our own government. With unprecedented new legislation that both major parties heavily endorse, such as the “USA Patriot Act”, and the “National Defense Authorization Act” signed into law on December 31, 2011, there has never been a better time to peacefully restore our Republic and the most precious rights guaranteed by our Constitution. The Establishment wants to silence the message of liberty for many monied interests, but the message is so good that it cannot be silenced by any amount of money. Don’t turn your back on the Bill of Rights. Don’t turn your back on the freedom of individuals. Ron Paul 2012 www.ronpaul2012.com

Turkey’s shrinking media freedoms

Posted by admin on January 26th, 2012

Hrant Dink, a Turkish editor and journalist who campaigned for many years for the Turkish government to recognise the genocide of Armenians, was murdered in 2007 in what many believe was a police-related incident. His is just one case concerning press freedoms which have lead many in the country to believe the ruling Justice and Development Party, or AK Party, has broken its promises to protect liberties. According to recent accounts, nearly 100 journalists in Turkey are in prison while 1000 of the country’s 16000 cases pending at the European Court of Human Rights are related to media freedom. In the first of a three-part series on reforms within the country, Al Jazeera’s Hashem Ahelbarra, reporting from Istanbul, takes a closer look at the state of press freedom.

World Report 2012 – Cairo

Posted by admin on January 25th, 2012

Human Rights Watch Executive Director Kenneth Roth releases the 2012 World Report in Cairo, Sunday January 22 2012. Q&A Session here – youtu.be www.hrw.org World Report 2012: Strengthen Support for ‘Arab Spring’ Governments Should Support Rights, Not Abusive Allies (Cairo, January 22, 2012) — Many democracies have allowed their ties with repressive allies to temper their support for human rights in the Arab Spring protests, Human Rights Watch said today in its World Report 2012. For reasons of principle and long-term interest, governments should stand firm with the people of the Middle East and North Africa when they demand their basic rights and work to ensure the transition to genuine democracies. The 676-page report, Human Rights Watch’s annual review of human rights practices around the globe, summarizes major rights issues in more than 90 countries, reflecting the extensive investigative work carried out in 2011 by Human Rights Watch staff. On events in the Middle East and North Africa, Human Rights Watch said that firm and consistent international support for peaceful protesters and government critics is the best way to pressure the region’s autocrats to end abuses and enhance basic freedoms. A principled insistence on respect for rights is also the best way to help popular movements steer clear of the intolerance, lawlessness, and revenge that can threaten a revolution from within, Human Rights Watch said. “The people driving the Arab Spring deserve strong

Anonymous: SOPA. We will fight back. NEW

Posted by admin on January 25th, 2012

Join for our latest videos on facebook: www.facebook.com We are Anonymous. We come this day due to the urgent Bill that is going on called SOPA. Stop Online Piracy Act. According to L2, our first amendment right includes the right to freedom of speech. Freedom of speech, is a right that allows individuals to express themselves without interference or constraint by the government. We also have, according to L2, the right to petition the government for a redress of grievances; This guarantee provides the public the right to petition the government to provide relief from wrong, through the court system. According to Lincoln’s Address ,we have a government “of the people,by the people and for the people”. The SOPA act is a direct violation to people’s right to freedom of knowledge and information, And for that violation the United States government is a disgrace to the land of the free, The free that every United States soldier has fought or died for. We all know and understand what this bill will do to us if it is successfully passed and we will not stop and watch. It is not in the hands of the government to take away something they did not create and take away our freedom of rights. This is a warning going out to anyone supporting SOPA. If this bill is successfully passed because our protest wasn’t enough. We will take action. We will not by-stand. We will go against you. We will win. Us government has abused once again their power, but not anymore. After this day, we, you, us

The ACLU Freedom Files: Religious Freedom

Posted by admin on January 25th, 2012

The right of every American to practice his or her own religion, or no religion at all, is among the most fundamental of freedoms guaranteed by the Bill of Rights. But while the United States is home to more than 1500 different faiths and some 360000 houses of worship, religious freedom faces threats on many fronts. This episode of The ACLU Freedom Files includes the story of Abbey Moler, a high school valedictorian who was asked to include some words of wisdom in her yearbook and selected a Bible verse. When the yearbook was published, her choice was omitted, and she successfully took on the school district. You’ll go to the front lines of one of the most heated civil-liberties controversies in recent history and hear from parents and teachers who were part of a lawsuit in Dover, Pa., to keep intelligent design out of the classroom. You’ll learn about Billy Warsoldier, a Native American who was in prison for a nonviolent offense and was punished severely for refusing to cut his hair, which would have violated his religious tradition. He was denied visitation rights and kept in jail beyond his original sentence for practicing his faith, but fought the order and won. Also featured is the harrowing story of Joann Bell, a devout Christian whose home was firebombed because she objected to her son’s school pressuring him to attend a prayer meeting. This program is a crucial reminder of the founders’ intent regarding religion—that it be a matter for individuals, not the government.
