Which one is this referring to? The 1970 coup attempts which snafu’d? or th 1973 coup? Either way, Kissinger didn’t instigate the coup.
the sentence mentioned as [garbled]. The CIA Inspector General (appointed by the Church committee) went through the CIA actions in Chile at the time with a Fine Tooth comb, and agreed with the Church committee’s conclusions.

You seem to have, very conveniently, deleted every word in Kissinger’s sentence that concurs with Kornbluh’s statements that the CIA “helped” the Chilean military & “created the conditions” for the coup to induce them into taking over.
“The CIA and other sectors of the U.S. government, moreover, were directly involved in operations designed to create a “coup climate” in which the overthrow of Chilean democracy could and would take place.” (p114)
Kissinger admission is on the record.

At that time (early 1970s), the Church committee were breathing down the neck of the CIA and would have pulled the plug on them if the CIA tried something as overt as a coup at that time.
Personally, i think Operation Sealion was more plausible than your version of Pinohet’s rise to power.

We dont know what those documents were about. The coup plans were aborted after general schneider was killed in a botched attempt.

Nixon was commenting about how they thought that it was a good result, and does not show that they did the deed. Just because i benefit from a will does not mean i murdered the person.
The CIA ran an inquiry and concluded that there was no physical evidence of the CIA instigating or supporting the coup
Kissinger was saying “we didn’t do it”, and they did not.
So Allende was a nice little angel and any black spots that show up EVER are all CIA disinfo? That’s like the illuminati nuts on JFK.

If the Church Committee could find out about Gladio, they could find out about cia overthrowing allende.
I am well aware of CIA efforts to overthrow allende in the 70s with both track I and II being declared failures.

THAT DAY inspired me to begin to research, travel 7 times to Israel Palestine and learn WHY did some people in the world hate us so much that they could target and murder innocent people?
I learned PLENTY!

A few days after THAT DAY, Bush went on TV and told we the people to GO SHOP! If we wanted to HELP and that They hated us because we were free!
I wondered if They hated us so much to target and murder innocent people had something to do with Americans mindless over consumption of the worlds resources and apathy towards the poor and oppressed.
Up until 9/11, I was your typical self-satisfied, self-centered, uninformed, misinformed comfortable American. THAT DAY, changed everything.

In the Sept 16, 1973 11:50am declassified telecon Nixon says “Our hand doesn’t show on this one”. Kissinger replies “Well we didn’t do it. I mean we helped them. [censored] created the conditions as great as possible.”
Nixon wryly replies: “That’s right. And that is the way it is going to be played.”

Don’t forget that the Telecons between Nixon & Kissinger have been declassified. I’m surprised you didn’t see them at the NSA.

Documents were “withheld from the Church committee on the grounds of executive privilege” (Kornbluh, The Pinochet Files, p79).
“The secret files declassified pursuant to Pinochet’s arrest constitute a trove of new evidence that goes well beyond what the Church Committee reported in the mid-1979″ (page xix).
After Project Fubelt, the U.S. simply shifted to inducing a military coup with a massive propaganda campaign designed to fool the military & wreck the Chilean economy.

As well as that, Allende sought to destroy the Rule of law. Read the whole Chamber of Deputies resolution, which shows his constitutional abuses.
So anybody that disagrees with your worldview, including the legislators who declared allende a tyrant and the supreme court, must be cia/mi5 eh? Very like the sort of things on infowars.

There is no evidence for the cia’s role in the 1973 coup according to a the church committee wo were putting a very big lense upon the cia. kornbluh must be referring to the 1970 coup.
Allende was cozying up to castro and the USSR.
No, the chamber of deputies recognised that Allende was destroying the republic and that impeachment was not possible.
the references to the “pay of cia” sounds like what holdstafer called the paranoid style of politics.

Read Kornbluh’s book “The Pinochet File”. He was the head of the Chile declassification project that declassified 20,000 documents & works at the NSA.
You can get the REFs of the relevant documents from his book. Many are actually in the book.
The documents show that the U.S. got the Chilean military to carry out terrorist attacks & blame it on leftists & Allende.
Most of the Christian Dems & even Allende’s own party were in the pay of CIA at the time of the resolution condemning Allende.

I searched the NSA for anything to back up the chamber of deputies assertion, and nothing.

The Chamber of deputies wasnt bought off by the us govt. You sound like the NWO conspirators who say whenever there was something that didnt fit their infowars worldview, they just say NWO did it. They declared Allende a felon in conjunction with supreme court rulings.
The mitrokhin archive was notes on KGB documents, and numerous intelligence figures have sayed its legit.
Honduras wasn’t instigated by the us govt. Otherwise, there wouldn’t have been sanctions and suspension from the OAS.

Firstly, this failure does count, because it was an actual coup in Venezuela, but then Chavez was returned. It wasn’t like it was a coup that didn’t even get to the coup stage.
Secondly, the Chilean congress was almost completely bought out by the U.S. govt. This is acknowledged in the declassified docs. Go read the National Security archives.
Again, the Mitrokhin “archive” was handwritten notes.
The 18th coup is Honduras just recently. Read Eva Gollinger’s work for U.S. involvement.
