April Griffin gave birth to a son as the result of a sexual assault and has been imprisoned for the past 2 years, in lock-down, for ‘interfering with the custody of a child’ and refusing to give up her parental rights although there was never custody hearing! We absolutely need to drum up support for her, pressure the media to give this story coverage, and pressure the government to release her. True, it happens all the time to different extents. But what is different about this story is that it exposed corruption throughout the US justice system: judges and DAs operating without having sworn oath to the Constitution, media being censored, talk show hosts refusing to touch the story. It is rotten through and through. You shoudl listen to the iterview if you’r einterested.

oh I know it’s probably a big bad story – sadly I’ve lived my own big bad story to know without a doubt it’s true. Not much point in reading more & more stories when U know how true it is – nothing I can do about it. It’s the one’s who think this is a “SPECIAL STORY” that need to watch U learn EVERYONE’S story – what makes U think everyone’s big bad story can’t be supported with the same evidence as this story?What really makes her story different then all other STORIES within your own country

AHHHH have you checked out how many women shelters there are in Canada???? Do you think each and every one of those women needing help ACTUALLY GET HELP? Each one has a story just as bad if not worse then this story yet we don’t hear about them WHY? I’ve heard horror stories and my own isn’t all that pretty – totally illegal, total corruption in our own court systems and nobody talks about it. The Globe said to me “this is so common it’s not news”

Thank You Truthergirls. I don’t see the first comment I just posted, I guess they don’t let us post links, so I am going to rewrite this with out a link. I just want to say the truth cannot ever be changed, and what has happen to April is illegal. If anyone wants more concrete information, write April, come to the court, see this injustice for yourself, and yes she was raped, robbed and ripped of her rights. PLEASE everyone demand that the federal government in America, stop this inhumanity!

This is just as outrageous as the Evelyn Schwartz case. Incredible government power without justification. The masses are slowly opening their eyes. We have all been saying it is close, However I think most of the people in the states are ready to take action. Government hate organizations as they like to call it has risen by 244% in 2009. This was reported by fox news just yesterday. File the points on them pitch forks everyone.

Actually, if you file papers properly, and do not grant jurisdication to judge to do whatever Judge wants you

There’s no need to bring up your own personal history I don’t need to polute my mind with disturbing information.
Does what you said make you an expert in dealing with rape victims, No. It means you made a poor decision to not report a sex offender, and you put other women in danger leaving a sexual predator on the streets.
The father should not get the child and the mother should not get the child either, This child should go to the state where it can be adopted by normal people.

@FierceEyedTiger Having been molested by an uncle, I didn’t call the police. Face the shame and ridicule to be blamed for it. You can’t know what woman think when these things happen. Maybe she had a few drinks with the guy and was ashamed at what happened. Maybe she blamed herself, because woman are taught, “they must have asked for it”!
Facts are she was required by law to list the father to get help. And her child was stolen and she was arrested and in jail for 2 yrs!

If some one raped you would you report it to the police immediately?
I would….. I would even let them inspect my vagina if I had one, and gather DNA.
If you got raped would you put the rapist name on the birth certificate?
I would not… I would put John Doe or make up a random name and so would 99.9% of decent human beings.
Ignorance is never an excuse, were common sense is concerned.
She has issues as far as I can tell for not doing reasonable things at the appropriate times.

@FierceEyedTiger You know she’s lying and it’s her fault she didn’t report the rape? 55% of woman don’t report rapes. Maybe she figured it out once she found out she was pregnant and maybe her religious beliefs don’t allow abortion.

Google “april griffin milwaukee” for links to Time magazine articles on this incident. It’s rather old, and it appears the only innocent person in this case is the child. Be sure you do your homework before your radio show.

She really screwed herself by not going to the police/hospital in the first place if this is true, then she would have backup legally to protect herself.
