30 May 2011, Mavi Marmara, Istanbul One year ago today, six ships carrying nearly 700 human rights defenders, met at sea to commence the last leg of our voyage to Gaza to break Israel’s brutal stranglehold on 1.5 million Palestinians. A few hours later the Israeli military launched a full-scale assault on our civilian convoy, killing nine of our colleagues and injuring over 50 others. Ugur Suleyman 46 years old is still in a coma from the gunshots from Israeli commandos. Despite widespread condemnation and an UN-commissioned investigation that found Israel’s acts unlawful, possibly amounting to war crimes, Israel has yet to be held accountable. Families of the victims killed on the Mavi Marmara await justice and millions of Palestinians continue to demand their human rights respected. In the wake of continued government inaction to stop Israel’s human rights abuses, we, members of global civil society representing dozens of national coalitions and international organizations will launch next month Freedom Flotilla II — Stay Human. While we wholeheartedly welcome the decision of the Egyptian government to regularly operate the Rafah Crossing between Egypt and the occupied Gaza Strip, Israel’s unlawful blockade remains in effect. Israel still prevents Palestinians from using their sea and controls and severely restricts all goods entering and exiting Gaza. As such, we must continue to challenge this blockade. We call on all states, the United Nations, and international …
The 1000000 viewing aniversary of This Channel’s Videos brings you: www.armbritain.com Peoples all around the world since time immemorial had armed themselves for self-defence and the protection of others. Common Law Do not Murder Do not Injure Do not Steal Gun Rights setting out the inalienable right to keep arms. United Kingdom – Bill of Rights 1689: Freedom to have arms for defense. Definition of ‘Keep’ & ‘Have’: “keep” are “to retain; not to lose,” “to have in custody,” “to preserve; not to let go.” Statutory Law: Laws which a government passes to restrict the rights of citizen and subject alike. But Common Law is senior in both status and precedent to Statutory Law… Since after World War 1 the march to disarm and slowly enslave began: Firearms Act of 1920 – Which made it illegal to possess these weapons without first obtaining a certificate from the police and registering each individual firearm. The Firearms Acts 1936/7 placed additional controls on fully-automatic firearms, effectively restricting them to the armed forces and police. The Criminal Justice Act 1967 was passed which introduced Shotgun Certificates. 1953 – The Prevention of Crime Act 1953 prohibited the carrying of an offensive weapon without lawful authority or reasonable excuse. A major and true right of a citizen or subject was dismantled at this point. The Firearms Act 1968 introduced the concept of compulsory security for rifles and pistols and incorporated the Shotgun Certificate first outlined …

Mike Adams www.naturalnews.com www.infowars.com www.prisonplanet.tv May 27, 2011 Let’s ask the commonsense question: If the TSA can run security checkpoints at not only airports but also local high schools, and if the TSA can reach down your pants and feel your genitals in complete violation of your Fourth Amendment rights, and if the TSA says it has the complete authority under the US Constitution to do whatever it wants, then what are the limits on the TSA’s power? It’s not just an important question, it is THE question of freedom: What are the limits of government power? TSA claims supreme power over Americans According to the TSA’s current explanations, there are no limits to its power. It can do whatever it wants. But America’s founding fathers, not surprisingly, strongly disagreed. In fact, they penned two documents that specifically defined strict limits to government power. Those two documents are, of course, the US Constitution and its Bill of Rights. The Constitution and the Bill of Rights are, technically, anti-government documents. They spell out the limits of government in order to protect the freedoms of the People. Remember, these were documents that came out of a time when British soldiers would conduct house-to-house searches — looting homes and sexually assaulting women — without any legal justification whatsoever. The early American colonists were infuriated at this abuse of power, so they created the Fourth Amendment which specifically forbade searches …

Thursday, Foreign Correspondents Club of China issued a report, which showed that the international news reporting situation in China is deteriorating. The annual report incorporated 108 survey responses from its 225 news agency members. According to the report, 94% of responses believe the situation is deteriorating. An email of Foreign Correspondents Club of China says 70% of survey responses state that over the past year, their work has been subjected to harassment or even physical interference. Mr. Wei, a Spanish reporter, told NTDTV there has always been government harassment of reporters. It wasn’t because of the recent slew of emergencies. The difference is now the CCP is not as polite and is telling foreign reporters directly what they can and cannot do in China. Mr. Wei: I have been in China 9 years. I have been threatened by police. I have been taken to the police station. I have been harassed by ruffians and triads. I have been followed even by multiple cars. This is not new, it has always happened. Freelance writer Zan Aizong, former reporter and news editor, says that government with rule of law, a civil society, must protect freedom of the press and human rights. He said that only rule by law could protect people’s basic rights and universal values. Zan Aizong (former reporter of China Ocean News): “I believe many …
Greetings. We are Anonymous. Due to the misconceptions being propagated, we are setting the record straight. Anonymous is a diverse collective of individuals focused on securing freedom of speech and information worldwide. Our intent is not to disrupt without cause, but to protect the Internet from the tyranny that government and corporate agencies are now seeking to impose on it. We do this not for ourselves, but to assert the rights of the freedom of speech and information globally. We ask you to support us, not for our sake, but for your own rights. Do not allow governments, corporations or the media to control what you are allowed to see, hear and think. Many in the media have painted a distorted image of what Anonymous is. The Constitution of the United States is said to be a living document because it can be amended to suit the changing needs of the American people. In that same spirit, Anonymous is a living culture of people and ideas; a growing, shifting entity. Anonymous is any individual, regardless of nationality, gender, race, ethnicity, sexuality, or creed. Anything attributed, credited, or tagged to Anonymous is rarely based on any consensus of us as a whole–we operate through a democratic meritocracy of ideas, and we follow our own convictions rather than any leader. Anonymous seeks to stand up for truth and transparency and we ask you as an individual, a media organization, or government, to do the same. During the American Civil Rights movement …
At a time when the Banda (shutdown strike) called by various ethnic organisations affiliated with major political parties including non-political groups has been paralysing normal life across the country, the National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) has urged the government as well as political parties to respect the peoples’ rights to freedom of movement. Organizing an interaction programme in Lalitpur Monday, NHRC chairperson Kedar Nath Upadhyaya also stated that the people have the right to call peaceful protest, but not to tread upon the rights of others.Nepalnews.com, (www.nepalnews.com) is a leading Internet destination dedicated to bring you news, events, polls, discussions, forums about and from Nepal.
