The John Birch Society’s most popular and widely distributed presentation. Overview shows a straightforward explanation of government systems, basic economics, and timeless moral principles. Because of following them, America became the freest and most prosperous country in history. Now threatened by the expansion of government world-wide and the economic collapse enginered by the Federal Reserve the American people, as well as the rest of the world, needs to be reminded of the dangers of big government.
Gaddafi’s Revolutionary committees are similar to systems in other countries. Reportedly 10 to 20 percent of Libyans worked in surveillance for these committees, a proportion of informants on par with Saddam Hussein’s Iraq or Kim Jong-il’s North Korea. The surveillance took place in government, in factories, and in the education sector. Dissent is illegal under Law 75 of 1973. Gaddafi has said that “execution is the fate of anyone who forms a political party”. Engaging in political conversations with foreigners was a crime punishable by three years in prison, and until recently foreign languages were absent from school curricula. One protester in 2011 described the situation as: “None of us can speak English or French. He kept us ignorant and blindfolded”. The regime often executed dissidents publicly and the executions are rebroadcast on state television channels. Libya under Gaddafi is the most censored country in the Middle East and North Africa, according to the Freedom of the Press Index. In 2003 Libyan official Najat al-Hajjajia was selected to chair the United Nations Human Rights Commission. Reporters Without Borders (RWB) stated, “Censorship, arbitrary detention, jailings, disappearances, torture; at last the UN has appointed someone who knows what she’s talking about”. The commission subsequently banned RWB from its meetings. A number of political groups opposed Gaddafi, including National Conference of the Libyan Opposition, National Front for the Salvation of …
The time has come for the next American Revolution. No longer will the American People subject themselves to the whims of statists and power mongers who use the overwhelming force of a central government to usurp the Constitution’s mandates of personal liberty and economic freedom. The federal government has become a parasite, consuming ever larger amounts of freedom and prosperity from both current and future generations of Americans. We the people have failed in our duty to restrain government. We must now reclaim those rights which have always been ours. Rights asserted in the Declaration of Independence and guaranteed by the United States Constitution. Our founding documents declare that the rights of citizens and states supersede federal authority. The preservation of these rights, of our individual liberty, demands personal responsibility. We, the people must act if we are to ensure a return to a smaller central government, one of limited powers of authority, expenditure and taxation. The next American Revolution will be won or lost at the ballot box.
Happy 4th of July everybody !! i’ve always found this song inspirational and moving, and i’m 2 away from 700 subscribers, so i decided why not make this video a celebration for more than one thing ^^ Be prepared for some ranting X3 All funniness aside, i really am proud to be an american. I’ve grown up my whole life here, and think it’s a great country. Other countries are awesome too, but you always feel a devotion to the country you were born and raised in. The USA is known for leading and setting an example to other countries. It is a Democracy/Republican government that allows for freedom of speech, religion, and many more rights that some other nations unfortunately don’t have. In this Democracy we vote for our leaders and officials so we always have a say. In this country we aren’t oppressed in a dictatorship, we have FREEDOMS that our fore-fathers established and later presidents extended to other races, and opened borders for all to have a chance at Freedom !! – In July 4 1776 The United States Declaration of Independence stated that the 13 colonies were no longer part of the British Empire and was now independent. ~Bill of Rights~ ✰The right of petition, ✰An independent judiciary (the Sovereign was forbidden to establish his own courts or to act as a judge himself), ✰Freedom from taxation by royal (executive) prerogative, without agreement by Parliament (legislators), ✰Freedom from a peace-time standing army, ✰Freedom [for Protestants] to bear arms for …
There have been numerous assassination attempts on leading rebels in their eastern stronghold of Benghazi. Libyans fighting to depose Muammar Gaddafi say he is using hitmen – an invisible force – to carry out targeted killings. Some documents have been found, detailing those set to be killed. *Added Captions and Removed Music* *Creative Commons Attribution license* – Have at it! On the 19th of July, 2011, The US, UK and Dutch governments decided that they finally had enough of their citizens’ rights to freedom. In true dystopia style, these governments have trounced upon not only the rights of these individuals, but the basic rights of all individuals: freedom of speech, freedom of expression, and freedom of association. These actions should not go unanswered. Those who were arrested believe in a cause, believe in an idea, believe in all of us. We must respond with a real and concentrated effort to redress these arrests. We, as Anonymous, have a very real responsibility to these people, who were jailed fighting for freedom, so we can continue to fight for theirs. Have you ever joined a sit in, taken part in a strike, marched in the street, or attempted to block access to a building in protest? Anon’s actions are the cyber equivalent of these traditional forms of protest, arresting our activists for doing this is a crime against freedom and democracy. But how could our actions be seen and accepted as real protests by governments, when we are shown daily, that they only tolerate demonstrations that serve their own purposes… Anonymous has now been falsely labelled as a “terrorist group”; people are getting arrested for this unjust accusation and it has become a dirty cat and mouse game with incalculable and uncontrollable consequences. All our actions can be …
