Amendment 2 – Right to Bear Arms. Ratified 12/15/1791.

A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed.

This guy is exercising it at an Obama Rally. In the state of Arizona they have an open carry law which means it’s legal to carry guns in the open. Hit the link for the interview with the guy in the picture.

Ways Companies Mistreat Job-Seekers

Posted by admin on 13th August 2009

mistreating_potential_hires

Companies have been abusing job seekers by using some messed up tactics, like requiring previous job salary information to determine what they should pay you. Misrepresenting the work that you will be performing, not letting you know if they are interested in pursuing you or not, etc. Still some of these may seem bad but it’s not as bad as what China does, from what Newsweek reports Women of beauty have a leg up over women of not so appealing to the eye looks. Full article about the American way after the jump.

Off The Clock and Not Getting Paid, but Still Working

Posted by admin on 11th August 2009

imacorporate-wage-slave

I hate being a corporate wage slave. Companies have now been screwing people over by giving them laptops and blackberries. With the expectation of having these workers be available 24/7 which in my own opinion is wrong in so many ways. It’s like the company saying “We hired you and now we own your free time.” leaving no personal time for yourself. Thus becoming a slave to the company that hired you. Ars Technica posted a real good article on the state of companies expecting you to be available 24/7.

Obama has a lot of time to go before his term ends but before he was elected he made many promises on his campaign for change. I found this site by accident and it shows how many promises have been kept, broken, and any promises he is in the process of completing. Hit the link for a more detailed look at the promises he made.

The Government wants you to be a Snitch

Posted by admin on 8th August 2009

Quoted from the official Whitehouse.gov website: “There is a lot of disinformation about health insurance reform out there, spanning from control of personal finances to end of life care. These rumors often travel just below the surface via chain emails or through casual conversation. Since we can’t keep track of all of them here at the White House, we’re asking for your help. If you get an email or see something on the web about health insurance reform that seems fishy, send it to flag@whitehouse.gov.”

Oh wow!

Anti-Health Insurance Ad

Posted by admin on 6th August 2009

So this video is the ad that CNN refused to air. Their reason is that it singles out Cigna’s top executive for the lavish golden parachute and compensation that he has received. Don’t get me wrong, I don’t think it’s wrong for a privately held company to pay someone a lot of money. Hell if the company think he’s worth that much money fine not my business neither is it anyone else’s business, maybe he deserves it maybe he doesn’t. Don’t use this ad to say that this goes against Obama’s Plan for health care, don’t use this ad to say that the executive is bad because he gets paid all that money,  there’s many reasons why people hate the plan Democrats and Republicans alike. It’s flawed open your eyes people there are two sides two everything don’t look at only the good part of it look at both then make your decision.

Apple and a few of the Apps They Rejected

Posted by admin on 4th August 2009

apple_apps

Businessweek posted a slide show on 20 apps apple reject based on their terms. I think this is ridiculous in my opinion that apple rejects apps based on a process that they have yet to reveal. As this comment on the engadget article I posted previously makes so much sense.

appleMicrosoftI don’t know what the hell Apple is doing I just hope they get fined. I mean come on they are basically telling people what can and can’t go on their hardware, Next thing you know there gonna tell you how to use their product and if you use it wrong it’ll lock you out or some shit. This phone exclusivity shit’s gotta stop with AT&T and the iPhone. I can’t wait to see how Apple responds to the FCC letter. Apple you Fuckers!

Compensation Limits bill Passed

Posted by admin on 3rd August 2009

wallstreet

So the White house approved limits on executive pay. I don’t know if this is a good thing or not. I mean I would not want the government getting involved in my company if I decide to pay whoever I want what I want to pay him or her. Then again on the other side they did cause the economic meltdown so you have to look at both sides to the story. In my opinion the pays should be limited until they bay back the money that we gave them, then the limits can be removed.
