If You See Something, Film Something (You Have The Right To Film The Police)

Posted by admin on 5th February 2012

2011 could have been named the year of the cell phone camera. Individuals everywhere have used their cell phones or other electronic devices to record interactions with the police. Some States have taken offense to that and have allowed police officers to arrest people for documenting events in public. In 2011, the First Circuit Court of Appeals out of Massachusetts ruled in favor of citizens first amendment rights to record in public. The Court has jurisdiction over MA, NH, RI, ME, and Puerto Rico. Here’s the ruling: www.ca1.uscourts.gov *** Some excerpts: “[I]s there a constitutionally protected right to videotape police carrying out their duties in public? Basic First Amendment principles, along with case law from this and other circuits, answer that question unambiguously in the affirmative.” “Glik filmed the defendant police officers in the Boston Common, the oldest city park in the United States and the apotheosis of a public forum. In such traditional public spaces, the rights of the state to limit the exercise of First Amendment activity are ‘sharply circumscribed.’” “[A] citizen’s right to film government officials, including law enforcement officers, in the discharge of their duties in a public space is a basic, vital, and well-established liberty safeguarded by the First Amendment.” “Gathering information about government officials in a form that can readily be disseminated to others serves a cardinal First Amendment interest in protecting and promoting ‘the

Ron Paul – End the Police State

Posted by admin on 27th January 2012

Ron Paul fights for the freedom of every American at a time in our history when our liberty is under terrible threat from our own government. With unprecedented new legislation that both major parties heavily endorse, such as the “USA Patriot Act”, and the “National Defense Authorization Act” signed into law on December 31, 2011, there has never been a better time to peacefully restore our Republic and the most precious rights guaranteed by our Constitution. The Establishment wants to silence the message of liberty for many monied interests, but the message is so good that it cannot be silenced by any amount of money. Don’t turn your back on the Bill of Rights. Don’t turn your back on the freedom of individuals. Ron Paul 2012 www.ronpaul2012.com

EPA’s continued assault upon American freedoms, rights, and economy

Posted by admin on 5th January 2012

Please visit my blog: propaganda-buster.blogspot.com A couple living in Idaho attempting to develop their land to build a home on it, filled that land with dirt. Apparently this was a violation of federal law according to the EPA — Environmental Protection Agency. The EPA is claiming they filled in a wetland on their private property resulting in a 000 a day fine. Private property rights in these here United States of America is dead. The goal of environmentalist and the EPA is to cripple capitalism and violate private property rights in the USA — United States of America. There was plenty of progress in the USA before the EPA and now with the EPA progress is dead. It is such a tragedy to drain a swamp or wetland? Really? Tell that to the Ancient Romans. The Romans never met a swamp they did not like to drain. All over the Empire Roman engineers drained swamps and wet lands for progress. The built roads, aqueducts, sewer systems, coliseums, and some 2000 years later the environment still exist in Europe. If the EPA existed during the growth of the USA we would have never seen the Hoover Dam, the transcontinental railroad, the Interstate Highway system, and other major works. The EPA is an affront to the 10th Amendment of the United States Constitution and basically liberties. – Link to article torn in this video: www.google.com wetlands wet lands drain swamp environmental protection agency EPA environmentalist anti capitalist “anti capitalism” 10th Amendment “tenth

Anonymous – Message To Obama

Posted by admin on 29th December 2011

To the President of The United States Of America. We are ANONYMOUS. We would like to ask you, Are you happy with what you have allowed the United States to become? The entire country a war zone, People standing up for their rights and the city governments allowing the brutal beating and arresting the citizens across America. By allowing this to happen you are a disgrace to the presidency. Any past president would put their political careers aside and focus on the city streets of his own country. So far you have done nothing about the thousands of people arrested in the city streets for exorcising their First Amendment rights, because you are too busy campaining for your 2nd term as president. Stop and listen to the people you took an oath to uphold, Stop treating the people of America like terrorists with the building of FEMA camps to house Americans that stand up against political control. Mr. President you had a dream of change when you were first elected but clearly you have sold out to the corporate injustices that every American involved in the Occupy movement are speaking out against. You Mr. President are a FAILURE to AMERICA. In fact you are building an ARMY, An ARMY of angry AMERICANS that will not allow the government to control every little aspect of their lives. It is only a matter of time before the people of America turn the tables and focus their revolution on True Freedom. And they will fight for it. By allowing the indefinite detention bill to pass you

Ron Paul Supports Decriminalization/Legalization of ALL Drugs

Posted by admin on 27th December 2011

www.facebook.com Drug prohibition Paul contends that prohibition of drugs is ineffective and advocates ending the War on Drugs.[248][249][250] “Prohibition doesn’t work. Prohibition causes crime.” He believes that drug abuse should be treated as a medical problem, “We treat alcoholism now as a medical problem and I, as a physician, think we should treat drug addiction as a medical problem and not as a crime.” The Constitution does not enumerate or delegate to Congress the authority to ban or regulate drugs in general. He believes the war on drugs is a racist policy against African Americans, who are affected disproportionally. Paul believes in personal responsibility, but also sees inequity in the current application of drug enforcement laws, noting in 2000, “Many prisoners are non-violent and should be treated as patients with addictions, not as criminals. Irrational mandatory minimal sentences have caused a great deal of harm. We have non-violent drug offenders doing life sentences, and there is no room to incarcerate the rapists and murderers.”[251] When asked about his position on implementing the tenth amendment, Paul explained, “Certain medical procedures and medical choices, I would allow the states to determine that. The state law should prevail not the Federal Government.” Speaking specifically about Drug Enforcement Administration raids on medical marijuana clinics Paul said, “They’re unconstitutional,” and went on to advocate states’ rights[252] and personal

FREE SPEECH FIGHT: New Orleans Bureaucrats Silence Speech, Tour Guides Fight Back

Posted by admin on 20th December 2011

www.ij.org In New Orleans, it is a crime to charge people for a talking tour without first getting permission from the government. City officials require every tour guide to pass a history exam, undergo a drug test and an FBI criminal background check every two years merely for speaking. People who give tours without a license face fines up to 0 per occurrence and five months in jail. The First Amendment does not allow the government to be in the business of deciding who is—and who is not—allowed to speak about various topics. That is why four New Orleans tour guides have joined with the Institute for Justice in a federal lawsuit seeking to secure their free speech rights. Vindicating this principle will help protect the rights of countless people across the country that speak for a living—whether they speak as news reporters, stand-up comedians or tour guides. This lawsuit was filed on December 13, 2011, in the US District Court for the Eastern District of Louisiana.
