Sabesan from Melbourne Talks about Thileepan on Tamil Kural Radio. Thileepan also known as ‘Thiyagi’ Thileepan was a LTTE political wing member. In an effort to persuade the Indian government to honour its obligations Thiyagi Thileepan began a fast-unto-death on 14 September 1987 in the grounds of the Nallur Kandaswamy temple. Notably, as well as refusing to eat, Thileepan wouldn’t drink water either. His demands were that the Indian and Sri Lankan governments withdraw Sinhalese army camps from Tamil areas, stop the continuing Sinhala colonisation in the Tamil homeland, suspend all rehabilitation work until the formation of an interim (Tamil) government for the Tamil homelands, halt the setting up of Sinhala manned police stations in Tamil areas and release all political detainees. The Sri Lankan and Indian governments ignored his protest. On 26 September 1987, Thileepan died. Tamil People’s Leader Veluppillai Pirabakaran on Thiagi Thileepan: “Thileepan died for the Tamil people. He died for the rights of the Tamil people. He died to safeguard our freedom and our honour. By his death he has shown how a Tamil freedom fighter is prepared to make the ultimate sacrifice for the people, for the land he loves. A life is very, very precious. I am quite aware of that. But even more precious is our freedom, our honour, our rights. I loved Thileepan dearly, because he was a dedicated freedom fighter. When I saw him battling for life I was very very disturbed but I did not regard …
Increasingly there have been more and more internment camps and prisons built in America. Is the government preparing for civil unrest, and even possibly Martial Law? “Men occasionally stumble over the truth, but most of them pick themselves up and hurry off as if nothing ever happened.” – Sir Winston Churchill “The issue today is the same as it has been throughout all history, whether man shall be allowed to govern himself or be ruled by a small elite.” – Thomas Jefferson “It is natural for man to indulge in the illusions of hope. We are apt to shut our eyes against a painful truth, and listen to the song of that siren till she transforms us into beasts… For my part, whatever anguish of spirit it may cost, I am willing to know the whole truth, to know the worst, and to provide for it.” – Patrick Henry “It astonishes me to find… [that so many] of our countrymen… should be contented to live under a system which leaves to their governors the power of taking from them the trial by jury in civil cases, freedom of religion, freedom of the press, freedom of commerce, the habeas corpus laws, and of yoking them with a standing army. This is a degeneracy in the principles of liberty… which I [would not have expected for at least] four centuries.” – Thomas Jefferson to William Stephens Smith, 1788 “I know of no safe depository of the ultimate powers of the society but the people themselves, and if we think them not enlightened enough to exercise control with a wholesome …
Dr. M. Zuhdi Jasser is the founder of the American Islamic Forum for Democracy, whose mission is “to provide an authentic Muslim voice advocating for the preservation of the founding principles of the US constitution: liberty and freedom through the separation of mosque and state.” His parents emigrated from Syria to the United States, where majority rules but minorities are protected like no other place in the world. America presents opportunities for learning an unfiltered history, expressing all opinions, questioning authority, and creating ideas without censorship—an environment Dr. Jasser believes is consistent with the Islamic faith. The democratic idea that every citizen, blind to race, faith, and creed, has equal access to government is a cure for the pathology of extremist Islam. The freedoms offered by a democratic society can be a laboratory for Muslim reform, allowing for open interpretation and debate, and thus the evolution of philosophies. Dr. Jasser considers the Muslim world currently trapped in a binary choice between Arab secular dictatorship and militant political Islam. However, he argues that there is a third option: universal liberty. Islam must be reinterpreted in modernity, which is only possible in an environment where people are free to debate and discuss it without fear of dangerous consequences. The intolerance of radical Islam is a threat to everyone, East and West, and Dr. Jasser argues, “it is incumbent on us to defeat it for our children.”
This is a video montage to the heroes and Southern freedom fighters who didn’t bow to imperial USSR communist (NAACP) and American Imperial ambitions (Washington DC) fanatical pressure. The heroes who fought abusive and intrusive government interferences in Southern rights, and who fought running battles with Communist inspired riot racist gangs. The un-Civil rights movement started to allegedly fight the former system in the South at the time. This system the “Segregated but Equal” first came under attack by groups outside the South. Most Southern whites and blacks before this era got along, the thing was, things were just segregated, either by choice or by state laws. These laws were usually fair and equal hence the term “segregated but equal”, meaning blacks had their own schools, whites their own, blacks could keep whites from entering their stores and whites theirs, basically simple property rights. While the Civil rights movement may had their reasons such as ending state enforced segregation, the movement went beyond ending forced segregation and helped enact an even more racist system that we still live under today, which many Southerns call “Forced Integration”, forced integration includes a system of Affirmative action, Quotas, hidden modern blacks codes (for example; hate crime laws which only ever target whites) and an institute of anti-Southern, anti-white hatred. The majority of people may not have agreed with segregation outside the South, but it was widely …
