Jan 3 2012 -RT – It’s the new year and the US government has passed 40000 new laws to ring in 2012. One of the most controversial laws that President Obama signed is the National Defense Authorization Act. The legislation allows for the indefinite detention and torture of someone suspected of being a member of al-Qaeda, including US citizens. Many Americans are concerned that their civil liberties are deteriorating and are giving up on their own government. George Hemminger, founder of Survive and Thrive TV, gives us his take on NDAA and SOPA.

Credit: Original 480p version uploaded by TheAlyonaShow on the 7th of June, 2011 (thank you). Quote: “The UN has declared Internet access a human right. Aaron Swartz, Executive Director of demandprogress.org discuss everything from copyright infringement, to privacy verses free speech, and national security; Wikileaks. And explains why this is a right.” The governments of the world are shit scared of the Internet. They are all over it now like flies trying to find and implement ways of controlling and corrupting it the way they already (for now) corrupt and control our lives. Dont let them do it folks. The protests against Kashmiir’s illegal occupation by Pakistan is growing. Kashmiri leaders who met in the UK have decided to intensify their struggle to free their homeland.
TRANSCRIPT: DEC 29 2012 GREETINGS CITIZENS OF AUSTRALIA WE ARE ANONYMOUS. In Australia we are saturated with US media, and we’ve heard a lot of American ideas like the Freedom of Speech. We sometimes hear our fellow Australians speak about THEIR right to free speech. But like the Hollywood dreams we’ve watched since childhood, this is a fallacy. Australians DO NOT have the right to freedom of speech and we never have. The Australian Constitution does not have any express provision relating to freedom of speech. There is no list of personal rights or freedoms which may be enforced in the courts. Moves have been made towards the adoption of a Bill of Rights for Australia, predictably however our Government that is stalling. On 10 December 2008 the Rudd government announced a nationwide Consultation to examine the protection and promotion of human rights and responsibilities in Australia, so the National Human Rights Consultation Committee was appointed. On 8 October 2009 the Commonwealth Attorney-General released the Committee’s highly anticipated report. After widespread public engagement, the Committee found overwhelming community support for a Human Rights Act. The Australian government said it would respond to the report by the end of 2009. That was 2 years ago. AMNESTY INTERNATIONAL SAYS IN REGARD TO AUSTRALIA: “In recent times we have seen how human rights are vulnerable to being undermined by government policies, such as mandatory detention of asylum seekers and the …

Greetings World, With the vanity and corruption that consumes each and every government, bank and corporation we see the result; it is a broken and used society that pits person against person, race against race, and religion against religion for the gains of material wealth, of an elite few. Have you had your fill of cake because of the lack of bread on your tables? What you see before you is an illusion concocted by the elite to keep society off balance. The paper you use to buy your food, clothing, and pay for your shelter is an illusion. There is no need for one starving child or person on this entire planet — but yet money insures that not only people starve, but are homeless and sickly. The elite will keep you broken and segregated with battles over politics, health care, wars and economic distress. Join the revolution. The elite do not even represent one percent of earths population, but yet we live under their oppression. As our world spins from light into night the billions of starving people on our earth shudder in the darkness of being left behind. Is this their fault? Are they the ones that are in control of the banks, governments and corporations? Are you and I the ones that control these entities? For the most part – No. No longer can we look at societies as race, because we are judged by our ‘class.’ We are judged by governments who are propped up by corporations, organizations and banks; the elitists. Our enemies are few, but we are many. Rising up and …

Roque Santeiro is the largest open-air market in Angola and one of the largest on the African continent. If you know where to look, you can find whatever you want in Roque’s sprawling stands. Women run most of the businesses here and in this video they speak up to protest against the government’s decision to relocate the market outside the metropolitan area. The new market will have refrigerated warehouses and stylish restaurants but most of Roque’s vendors will not be able go. One woman stated somberly: “Food, clothes, the money to send our children to school… it all comes from Roque. The whole family depends on our work here. I know Roque is going to close but in my heart it just doesn’t feel right.”
