Voting Machines: Behind the Freedom Curtain (1957)

Posted by admin on 3rd May 2012

DVD: www.amazon.com thefilmarchived.blogspot.com Voting machines are the total combination of mechanical, electromechanical, or electronic equipment (including software, firmware, and documentation required to program control, and support equipment), that is used to define ballots; to cast and count votes; to report or display election results; and to maintain and produce any audit trail information. The first voting machines were mechanical but it is increasingly more common to use electronic voting machines. A voting system includes the practices and associated documentation used to identify system components and versions of such components; to test the system during its development and maintenance; to maintain records of system errors or defects; to determine specific changes made after initial certification; and to make available any materials to the voter (such as notices, instructions, forms, or paper ballots). Traditionally, a voting machine has been defined by the mechanism the system uses to cast votes and further categorized by the location where the system tabulates the votes. Voting machines have different levels of usability, security, efficiency and accuracy. Certain systems may be more or less accessible to all voters, or not accessible to those voters with certain types of disabilities. They can also have an effect on the public’s ability to oversee elections. The first major proposal for the use of voting machines came from the Chartists in 1838. Among

China : Censorship, Tibet and Human Rights Abuse – all in a day’s work for the Chinese government

Posted by admin on 1st May 2012

Testing the censors in China ! This video was made in January 2012 during a stop over at Guangzho Airport in China using a public computer in the Airport. Amazing! I tried looking up Tianaman Square, the Dalai Lama, Panchan Lama, Free Tibet, maybe Fulong Gong, Youtube and some articles on in The Guardian about Tibet. They all came up blank or directed to some minor article not associated. It was so amazing I had to film it and post it. So there is censorship of the web in China! Had to see it for myself. But Youtube? The Chinese oppression rolls on. Where will it be next ?

Anonymous: Message to Barack Obama

Posted by admin on 27th April 2012

To the President of The United States Of America. We are ANONYMOUS. We would like to ask you, Are you happy with what you have allowed the United States to become? The entire country a war zone, People standing up for their rights and the city governments allowing the brutal beating and arresting the citizens across America. By allowing this to happen you are a disgrace to the presidency. Any past president would put their political careers aside and focus on the city streets of his own country. So far you have done nothing about the thousands of people arrested in the city streets for exorcising their First Amendment rights, because you are too busy campaining for your 2nd term as president. Stop and listen to the people you took an oath to uphold, Stop treating the people of America like terrorists with the building of FEMA camps to house Americans that stand up against political control. Mr. President you had a dream of change when you were first elected but clearly you have sold out to the corporate injustices that every American involved in the Occupy movement are speaking out against. You Mr. President are a FAILURE to AMERICA. In fact you are building an ARMY, An ARMY of angry AMERICANS that will not allow the government to control every little aspect of their lives. It is only a matter of time before the people of America turn the tables and focus their revolution on True Freedom. And they will fight for it. By allowing the indefinite detention bill to pass you

Why is the Harper Gov’t rejecting the Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms?

Posted by admin on 22nd April 2012

www.peoplestandup.ca Our Charter of Rights and Freedoms turned 30 last Tuesday. One particular angle got a lot of coverage Accusations that the Harper Conservatives did not do enough to mark the occasion, apparently because the Charter was the work of the Liberals under Pierre Trudeau. Perhaps. Or perhaps it was because, as Prime Minister Stephen Harper said, that the Charter remains controversial in some quarters, making celebrating its adoption politically tricky. Or maybe it’s more simple than that. Maybe the Tories didn’t see any reason to make a big deal about the Charter because it’s not something that Canadians care about very much. The Tories have, of course, shown themselves willing to celebrate issues that aren’t exactly at the beating heart of the Canadian collective identity — the monarchy and the War of 1812 are examples of that. But they’re at least things that align tightly with the Conservative mindset — traditional values and honouring our past, especially our military history. That the Charter doesn’t come due for the same treatment needn’t necessarily reflect hostility on behalf of the Conservatives, but a frank assessment that they won’t pay a price with the voters (especially Tory voters) for letting the anniversary pass largely unnoticed. That suggestion hinges, of course, on the belief that Canadians really don’t care much about the Charter, or at least don’t think about it all that often. That’s always been my feeling — while political junkies and

Man Denied Religious Rights CANADA: A COUNTRY WITHOUT A CONSTITUTION

Posted by admin on 13th April 2012

We need repeal of an unconstitutional law that has filled our prisons with nonviolent cannabis users. The prohibition against marijuana was unconstitutional from its inception. It took 13 years to end alcohol prohibition, 7 decades later for cannabis prohibition, it is time to turn things around! When alcohol was legalized it was not because Beer Cured Cancer! We don’t want legalization of marijuana which leaves the government to control and regulate it. I want to be able to grow my own food, medicine, clean energy/fuel, fiber without being bullied by corrupt authorities just to stay in line with the “collective” by growing a limited amount of plants! Why is anyone wanting to limit a plant safer than drinking water? There are plenty of examples to not let government regulate and control (screw up.) like tobacco for instance: by regulation the government poisons tobacco with cancer causing pesticides, then claim cigarettes cause cancer, Learn from the mistake. Thomas Jefferson was a hemp farmer. There are documents in Library of Congress where George Washington states that he liked sitting on the back porch smoking a pipe of hemp. In early Colonial times people could pay their taxes with hemp! Rudolph Diesel who made the diesel engine to run on hemp fuel was found swimming with the fishes! Wide use of Rudolf Diesel’s engine would have made petroleum-based fuel obsolete. The idea was destroyed by marijuana prohibition after Rudolf Diesel’s death. The government repeals
