Azerbaijani opposition parties have held an unsanctioned demonstration in Baku to demand that authorities permit them to hold public gatherings in the center of the capital. Dozens of activists, united in a group called the Public Chamber, gathered in a downtown Baku park on May 14. Police prevented protesters from marching to the mayor’s office, and several demonstrators were arrested. It was the second protest this month by the Public Chamber, which plans to publicly protest human-rights violations in Azerbaijan during the hosting of the prestigious Eurovision Song Contest in Baku on May 22-26. ======================================================== Geysar Gurbanov is a civil rights activist from Azerbaijan. your lawmakers are voting more then once for the same bill, they are actually voting for their buddies and are even blatant enough to cast other lawmakers votes for them when they have their back turned! these clowns need to be in jail not tomorrow, not after breakfast NOW! PLEASE SHARE THIS VID WITH EVERYONE AND DEMAND JUSTICE! What would happen to you if police caught you on video fraudulently voting? Would cops quickly arrest you and throw you in jail, only to have the District Attorney immediately charge you with fraud? What would happen to elected government officials if they were caught doing the same? Absolutely nothing? In fact, our representatives in the US government have become so brazen, that they commit fraud in plain view, on a daily basis, while at the same time trying to pass laws that would further restrict and criminalize the public for doing the same. This is a clear sign of excessive government, when the government is so large and overwhelmingly powerful that it’s agents can abuse the civilian population without any sense of guilt, remorse, or fear – when government officials deny charges of illegal conduct made against themselves as a matter of semantics, and when agents of the government expect and get immunity from any of their actions; actions that would be criminally prosecuted upon any other citizens. The few standing up for freedom, liberty, and the Constitution, such as Congressman Ron Paul, who has been called the Thomas Jefferson of our day …

Out of the ashes of the September 11th tragedy, a dark empire of war and tyranny has risen. The Constitution has been shredded and America is now a Police State. This film exposes not just who was behind the 9-11 attacks, but the roots and history of its orchestrators.
This year one of the world’s biggest TV shows comes to Azerbaijan. Human rights organizations are urging the Azerbaijani government to address the truth about the country’s human rights record, and to release all Prisoners of Conscience (political prisoners and journalists) held since last spring following anti-government protests. In order to support this cause local journalists and human rights advocates have launched “Sing for Democracy” campaign. Azerbaijan’s human rights record deteriorated in 2011 and 2012. The government cracked down on all forms of protest and imprisoned dozens of youth activists after sham trials. Although the number of government-initiated criminal and civil libel cases against journalists decreased, the atmosphere for journalists and other critics remained hostile. The government’s so-called beautification campaign in central Baku, the capital, resulted in forced evictions and illegal demolitions. Restrictions on freedom of religion and torture and ill-treatment in custody also persisted. In 2012 among other cases, it is important to mention journalist Khadija Ismayil (who became a victim of sexual blackmail after her intimate video was released) and journalist Idrak Abbasov (who was severely beaten for filming illegal evictions). DVD: www.amazon.com thefilmarchived.blogspot.com Voting machines are the total combination of mechanical, electromechanical, or electronic equipment (including software, firmware, and documentation required to program control, and support equipment), that is used to define ballots; to cast and count votes; to report or display election results; and to maintain and produce any audit trail information. The first voting machines were mechanical but it is increasingly more common to use electronic voting machines. A voting system includes the practices and associated documentation used to identify system components and versions of such components; to test the system during its development and maintenance; to maintain records of system errors or defects; to determine specific changes made after initial certification; and to make available any materials to the voter (such as notices, instructions, forms, or paper ballots). Traditionally, a voting machine has been defined by the mechanism the system uses to cast votes and further categorized by the location where the system tabulates the votes. Voting machines have different levels of usability, security, efficiency and accuracy. Certain systems may be more or less accessible to all voters, or not accessible to those voters with certain types of disabilities. They can also have an effect on the public’s ability to oversee elections. The first major proposal for the use of voting machines came from the Chartists in 1838. Among …

We need repeal of an unconstitutional law that has filled our prisons with nonviolent cannabis users. The prohibition against marijuana was unconstitutional from its inception. It took 13 years to end alcohol prohibition, 7 decades later for cannabis prohibition, it is time to turn things around! When alcohol was legalized it was not because Beer Cured Cancer! We don’t want legalization of marijuana which leaves the government to control and regulate it. I want to be able to grow my own food, medicine, clean energy/fuel, fiber without being bullied by corrupt authorities just to stay in line with the “collective” by growing a limited amount of plants! Why is anyone wanting to limit a plant safer than drinking water? There are plenty of examples to not let government regulate and control (screw up.) like tobacco for instance: by regulation the government poisons tobacco with cancer causing pesticides, then claim cigarettes cause cancer, Learn from the mistake. Thomas Jefferson was a hemp farmer. There are documents in Library of Congress where George Washington states that he liked sitting on the back porch smoking a pipe of hemp. In early Colonial times people could pay their taxes with hemp! Rudolph Diesel who made the diesel engine to run on hemp fuel was found swimming with the fishes! Wide use of Rudolf Diesel’s engine would have made petroleum-based fuel obsolete. The idea was destroyed by marijuana prohibition after Rudolf Diesel’s death. The government repeals …
