Badnarik states that his job today, in the short forty-five minutes he is allotted, is to “rattle their cages” a bit in order to spur a new perspective about the oath of office each has taken. To that end Badnarik runs through untaught histories, insightful analysis of the actual words in the founding documents and the differences between rights and privileges in a humorous and impactful exercise to define terms — a definition of terms that most sheriffs have yet to hear and consider.
